Find Your Balance

Balance. We are always trying, in some way, to find balance in the whirlwind of our daily lives. Whether it's work, family, social commitments, or simply looking at the news, our attention is pulled from one direction to the next. Suddenly you find yourself off-kilter and overwhelmed.

As business professionals, regardless of the field we are in, there may be times when you need to put yourself in situations that will take you out of balance. You know this heading in, but the trick is to be conscious of what you are sacrificing. Then, once the situation has passed, to get back into sync as quickly as possible. Resetting your mindset is the way to navigate yourself back to a more balanced state.

The problem is, for many, being out of balance is a common occurrence that creates chaos and stress in their lives. With so many great ways of combating the negative aspects of what can make us feel like we are drowning in our work, it is critical to learn how to re-balance ourselves and get back to center. Be it working out or taking a purposeful moment to honor your mental health, or breathing exercises to clear the toxins – whatever it is, taking that moment to rebalance is key. The body you have is the only body you're going to get, and it needs to carry you until the end of the game. Keeping your body strong and healthy enables you to do the things that excite you - whether that's traveling for business or visiting your friends and family or simply time with your spouse. The key here is to be fit enough that you don't have to say "no" to anything you want to do.

On that note, this month will make it five years since I have taken over the helm of The Green Pineapple, and it has been five roller coaster years of personal and professional growth. I have learned to practice the habit of adjusting and re-balancing the many priorities in life. For you see, that is my goal: less stress, greater satisfaction and overall harmony.

I would like to give a huge thank you to YOU, our Green Pineapple family, for your perseverance and strength. You have joined me on a journey with many twists and turns, and you've ducked and weaved like true champions. You are awesome!

Live Consciously,
Jen
